Both pit bulls and boxers are great with kids, so a mix of those two breeds should be an excellent choice for a household with kids. Both breeds tend to have a fair amount of energy, so it would need exercise. It would also need boundaries and training, as both breeds tend to be stubborn.

The dog is probably going to be very hyper-active as both breeds are known for being high strung. It will probably like to play a lot and may get out of hand despite not meaning it. If you train the dog right it won't be mean like most people think Boxers and Pit Bulls are.

I have never "heard" that boxers were mean, and only some people mistakenly think that pit bulls are mean. I have a Bull Boxer mix, and I wouldn't have anything else- he is the best!  add a comment

A pit bull and boxer mix will usually produce a pit bull sized dog with a boxer face. These dogs are loyal, good with people, loving, hungry, strong and slobbery!

The pit bull boxer mix will be a very playful animal. It will also have the tendency to lock on with jaws and may want to stand up and box.

They will have a stocky build, strong forequarters. The boxer mix may give them a shortened nose, domed head, a sleek, attractive facial structure. They will have well-placed, muscular legs.

a typical boxer is short haired, smooth and tight on their body. Often boxers would have a white color under their belly.

My dog is a pit bull boxer and has been my best friend through my divorce. She is so loving and affectionate! The only problem is she is a little protective of the apartment complex I moved in with the other dogs, NOT HUMANS!:) Thanks!
