What are the chances that a pregnant teen would have a Down Syndrome bab?

The chances are actually very slim. You are at greater risk if you're over 40 of if there is a family history. The doctors do two rounds of genetic testing during the first trimester and the early second trimester around when you find out the baby's sex to make sure your child doesn't have Down Syndrome and other birth defects.

Not any greater than a women in her twenties. There are typically about 1 in 1500 births are downs babies, with chances increasing as the mothers age gets passed 35.
