The key is maintaining the correct overall diameter. 2005 Scion XB's came originally with 185/60r15's so you could sell your 17 inch wheels and tires and replace them with the original size. You could probably find someone that would want to trade their OE wheels for your aftermarket.

When purchasing low profie tires take into consideration what the use of the vehicle the tires will be on is key. Yokohama has the best overall appeal for multiple uses.

I think the best tires you can use for 17 inch rims are good year. Good year tires have a life time warranty.

It depends on what the car will be used for. If your not going to drive it hard then Goodyear makes a great all-weather tire. If your going to push the car hard then a sport tire would be your best bet from a company like Perelli or Nitto. If it's a heavy car then Bridgestone has the stiffest sidewalls.

I think the best low profile tires are actually good year. They are actually very good for the weather also. They have never faded on me and it is hard to get a hole in the tire. Trust me these are the best tires you can invest in especially if you are getting rims.

The best ones I've tried were Yokohama Parada Spec-2s. In addition to being really cool-looking, they grip really well in both wet and dry conditions.
