I think the best glaze products are purchased through a kit. Those kits are put together for specific projects and is all-inclusive. Not to mention you get step by step instructions. Look for Modern Option antique kits at your local home improvement. They've got some great stuff avaialble.
What are you going to be antiquing? I mean if you are doing kitchen cabinets you will want something that works better for cabinets. If furniture it will be a different kind of glaze product. If you could give more specifics it would be a whole lot easier to answer.
I really like the Valspar brand. It is very workable once opened and in use and can be used over metallic glaze or crackle porcelain glaze to get a beautiful antique look. It works really well plus you can generally can get a free small sample to test with beforehand.
