What are symptoms of gear shift lever block problems?

I have no idea what you are talking about. You are going to need to be more specific. Shift levers don't have blocks, however they do have locks. If that's the case you, especially, will need to get the car repaired by a professional who actually knows what they are doing.

A blocking problem in your gear shift means either the gear shift handle is not work correctly (sometimes the shift ball breaks) or your clutch is going bad.

Being hard to shift gears in a manual transmission is the most obvious sign. If you grind gears a lot this can cause. It may need grease in the gearbox.

Checked all vacuum lines etc. and none have been knocked loose. If the kickdown solenoid went bad all of a sudden that would be causing the early shifts as well.
