You should determine which white washing technique best suits your needs. There are several different techniques which will lead to a different look and each technique is performed differently.

If the surface is already painted earlier, you have to scratch it and remove all impressions and wash it with water. Then you can apply two coats of janathacem or lilycem over a coat of white cement or cement primer. Wait for few days to apply the original painting after applying cement primer or white cement
