Put plenty of after sun lotion on the skin. A towel soaked in cold water and applied to the worst affected area helps. Keep on soaking the towel it could take many hours. Cold moisturizer or after sun applied liberally. Keep the person in the a cool room with plenty of water to drink no alcohol as this is dehydrating.

The first thing to do is to run it under cool water for at least five minutes. Then cover the burn with gauze/bandage. If there is mild pain, try taking an over-the-counter pain reliever. If the burn if over 3 inches long, or if it shows signs of infection, see a doctor right away.

Soak a washcloth in strong tea. Then put the wet cloth on the sunburn and let it sit for a long time. Move it around as necessary. The tea will get the burn out. Then cover the burn area with aloe lotion 2 - 3 times a day and after you shower.

Remove all clothing and objects from around the burn i. e. necklaces, bracelets, bra straps. Run the burns under cool water for a few minutes to ease the swelling and intense burning sensation. Do not put ices on it OR break open blisters if they appear. Loosely bandage the burn.
