A gift that shows you really thought about what the person wanted. So do some investigating and some watching and find out what the person really wants but won't buy for him/herself. A gift of time is always a good idea - babysitting, house cleaning, car cleaning, or household repairs. Just make sure the person wants this help.

Personalized baskets are about as thoughtful as you can get. They show that you know what the recipient really likes and what interests them. They may take some time to assemble, but if you have a theme they go together easily. Anything can be included in a basket, including gift cards, tickets, food, and items, so have fun with it!

1. Food baskets filled with items that the person enjoys. Extra points if they are non-perishable, so that the person doesn't have to rush home and put the items in the fridge. 2. Gift certificates to restaurants the person enjoys going to but feels guilty going due to their budget.

Make up a basket to pamper someone for a night by putting in a basket, candles, bubble bath mix, a scrub sponge, a couple of towels to match, some facial cleansers, foot massage cream with a hand massager, and either a pair of slippers or a pair of aloe socks.

I always pay attention to people and their actions when finding a thoughtful gift. They will give you clues, like "Ooh I really want that." They will appreciate the thoughfulness.
