Marijuana use has been known to cause low sperm count. Another possible cause is tight underwear which makes the testicles warm and less efficient at producing viable sperm.

There are many things that can cause a low sperm count. A bad diet or too much alcohal and certain drugs can lower the count.

There are many medical conditions that can cause a low sperm count, including hypopituitarism, Kallmann syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Klinefelter syndrome, the XX male syndrome or agenesis of the vas deferens. Furthermore, generation of sperm may be suppressed by chemotherapy. If sperm is produced but not ejaculated, an infection could have obstructed ejaculatory duct.

It could be caused by a hormone imbalance in your body. If you don't have enough testosterone or too much estrogen then that may be the cause of the problem. also damage to the area through trauma, drugs, infection, etc cannot be ruled out so it's best to see your doctor
