Pink eye is a disease that causes inflammation of the eye which is seen as corneal redness and felt as itching, burning, or discomfort. If the pink eye is caused by bacteria another possible symptom is discharge from the eye which is usually yellow in color. It is also common to have difficulty opening your eye if you have it.

A pink eye will usually start to get pink in color and if it becomes severe and is further irritated it can go from pink to a red in color. They eye can usually seem watery and you may experience mild discomfort otherwise the pain can be absent altogether. Do not rub the eye, it should clear on its own.

Pink eye is exactly what it says it is... a pink eye (or eyes). Itchy eyes, excessive tearing, thick discharge from the eyes, crustiness in the morning and redness. Sometimes minimal swelling can occur.

One main symptom is extreme redness of the eyes. Others are eyes burning and tearing a lot. Your eyes will also be sensitive to light.
