A good idea where you spend minimal money is going to a park or beach and having a picnic. Most parks and beaches don't charge any money or if they do it's not a large amount of money. Set out a blanket and sit down for a nice picnic lunch. Talk to your date and get to know them.

I once took my girlfriend to an outdoor movie (which was free) in the park, we took a bottle of wine and a small picnic, it was pretty fun - but it gets colder later on so pack a blanket you can both get under!
