What are some reasons my car cuts out?

Cars running roughly/inconsistently can be experiencing fuel starvation or electrical problems. Dying or dirty fuel pumps, FPR and injectors as well as old sparkplugs or distributor caps can be faulty.

If your car is just cutting out at idle it could be a spark plug, timing, compression in a cylinder, plug wire, clogged fuel filter or something with the fuel pump. Those are just some basic... first places to check but im not sure how your car cuts out?
