There are many options, including: petsitting (taking care of pets in the owner's home, your home, or at a boarding facility), medical care (veterinarian, veterinary technician, veterinary assistant), animal trainer (for movies, to solve behaviour problems, for competitive sports), working at an animal shelter, working for a rescue (the last two are often volunteer jobs).

There are a variety of animal care job options in the market today. Some jobs require specialized degrees and training. Examples of these include veterinarian, animal trainer, and veterinary technician. In some cases, degrees are not necessary. Hands-on training may be done while employed. Examples of these include pet groomer, kennel worker, animal care assistant, and pet shop assistant.

For starters you could work at a PetCo or at PetsMart. I am pretty sure most of the jobs that involve cleaning cages and whatnot are volunteer so you might want to try pet sitting or eventually becoming a vet or a breeder.

One of the most obvious jobs would be a veterinarian. However, if you don't want the schooling, you can be a veterinarian assitant, or a kennel worker (who cleans up after the animals at the clinic), work at an animal orphanage, a pet shop, or you can become a marine biologist and work with aquatic animals.

Here are some pet jobs: own a pet store, manage a pet store, become a veterinary technician, become a veterinarian, work in Animal Control, work in a shelter, work for a group that trains animals for people with special needs (guide dogs, etc.), create a dog walking business.
