90% of Florida is covered with forests. Most of the trees are pines. Other commercially valuable trees are cypress, magnolia, gum, dogwood, sweet bay, cedar, oak, and hickory. While Forests are full of Wildlife. Other resources are Seafood oranges and sugar and alligators.
The state still has a great deal of forestry, including some rare timbers; petroleum reserves; limestone for building; the resources of the sea which surrounds the state ie fish and marine life; wildlife in the Everglades; sunshine, which supports the state's tourist industry but in future will also provide a valuable source of energy
Florida produces a lot of citrus fruit ( oranges and grapefruit ) and also is a major agriculture producer ( farm products ). Florida has a large supply of natural gas just off shore in the Gulf of Mexico. Florida also produces a lot of timber in the long Panhandle section of the state.
