Bob Reade Cornell College 146 wins and 23 losses. Dick Farley Boston 114 wins and 19 losses. Henry Kean Fisk 165 wins and 33 losses. Eddie Robinson Leland 408 wins and 165 losses. Joe Paterno Brown 394 wins and 129 losses. Roy Kidd Eastern Kentucky 314 wins and 124 losses. That is just a few of many.

In Division I, or FBS, college football, Joe Paterno has the most wins with 394 for Penn State. Knute Rockne of Notre Dame won 88 percent of his games at Notre Dame, setting the highest winning percentage record. John Gagliardi had 471 wins in a 61 year career, mostly with Division III St. John's (MN), the overall winningest college coach.

Joe Paterno is the longest tenured coach in NCAA football history with Penn State, and for most bowl wins by a coach (22). Bobby Bowden of Florida State holds the record for leading his team to the most consecutive bowl games (26).

Eddie Johnson at Grambling, Joe Paterno (who is the older current coach) at Penn State, Woody Hayes at Ohio State, Bo Schembechler at Michigan, Bobby Bowden at Florida State, Lou Holtz (who coached for Notre Dame and South Carolina), are some of the coaches with the most wins of all time.
