One of the good ways to go is cooked lentils, chick peas, black beans and other legumes with brown rice. I can eat fresh black beans and rice with some salt any time with basically nothing else. But avocados and seeds and nuts have good fats, so do not worry!

Many vegetables contain protein and very little fat, as well as surprisingly little calories. White meat from chicken, if cooked without extra oil, is very lean and high in protein. Tuna, both canned and fresh is a good source of protein, as well as meats that have little fat (avoid white marbling in the meat).
