All green leafy vegetables like spinach are very rich iron sources. My grandmother used to say the richest iron source is drumsticks themselves, and the leaves of the drumstick tree too. Other iron souces include , various dry fruits like raisins , almonds walnuts etc. These are soaked overnight and consumed early in the mornin for best results.

This is a very WRONG information, spinach thou has iron but in VERY limited quantity, u can enjoy it but look to other sources such as red meat-beef,lamb,liver (not 4 pregnant women), beans, breakfast cereal, poultry, fish etc. Check views b4 posting them. Jesus is Lord. Amen.  add a comment

Dried fruit is high in iron. This was one of the reasons that it was rationed during wartime in the US.

Iron is a mineral that is present in many of the foods we eat. Remember how Popeye was always eating Spinach? Probably for the iron. He could have also eaten liverwurst, steamed clams, black beans, raisins, beef sirloin, nuts or tofu to get his "iron" fix.
