Burlington is right on Lake Champlain in Vermont, and boating is a great option. Vermont's great for hiking, shopping, the arts and family fun!

There are many skiing resorts near by (Sugar Loaf, for example). If you're looking for entertainment inside the city, it's a great location to walk around. The architecture and stores are very colorful and diverse. The local shops and artisans are excellent.
