Put beads on memory wire and use a sand/rice-filled tree ornament at the bottom as a weight to make a spiral decoration that pins to the ceiling.

Start with the most available or recyclable materials. An old CD can be coated with glitters and assembled as Christmas mobile. Gather cards sent by friends from years past to make paper chain. Stuff old winter coats to create your own "snowman". Creating decors for the season will be more meaningful with all of those little helping hands around.

Well you can make garland balls out of plastic or styrofoam. This is really fun. You can paint the garland balls and add hooks to add them to your tree.

You can string popcorn and cranberries. You can cut out Christmas trees out of construction paper and decorate with glitter as well.

Other than the traditional popcorn and cranberry strings there are some fun cookie cutter ornaments that look nice and smell good. Prepare a salt dough from any recipe online, add your favorite spices such as cinnamon, cloves, etc. Roll out the dough, cut, make a small hole for hanging, and set out to dry. Hang with thin ribbons.
