What are some house plants that are easy to care for?

I want plants in my house, but I don't have a green thumb.

Ivy is one of my favorites. Its easy to grow, root through cuttings of the plant to make new planters, doesn't require alot of water and grows in undirect light.

I would chose something in the cactus family or a succulent plant. These plants are very forgiving when you forget to water.
