What are some healthy soups?

I think I'm pretty sure the words "cream of" shouldn't be in there.

The healthiest soups are those that have a broth base of either chicken, beef or vegetable. It also should have a low sodium content. Lean meats such as chicken or turkey and lots of green and colorful vegetables make a healthy and hearty soup. Stay away from creamed soups and chowders.

Your best bet is to eat soup with a broth base like chicken or vegetable. Whatever type of broth you choose, check the label for sodium content, just because it sounds healthy doesn't mean it is. Also, choose soups with veggies in them, lean meats are good, but there's a reason you were told to eat your vegetables.

The healthiest soups are those made with a clear broth, vegetables and meat. Bean soups are also healthy, because the beans replace meat for protein. Cream soups can be made healthier by using low-fat or non-fat milk. Homemade soups are best, because canned soups often contain very large amounts of sodium. Some companies now produce low or less salt soups.
