Curls and reverse curls are great isometric bicep exercises. These utilize resistance, and this leads to greater muscle strength. Curling your forearm toward your shoulder, then reversing that, provides isometric resistance, thus enabling your muscles fibers to lengthen, then shorten. Doing these exercises will develop your biceps into "guns" in no time!

I like to do standing bicep curls. Hold the weight in each hand and raise your hands. Another great exercise for the bicep is called hammer curls. It is similar to the bicep curl with the exception of doing them one at a time. You lift your hand up at an angle, towards the opposite shoulder.

Wave contractions are good - get into a pushup position and then contract your arm muscles sequentially from your wrist to your shoulder and back again.
