One way to find vintage hardware is to search online auction sites for the items you need, like vintage doorknobs, etc. Another thing you can to is find the flea markets in your area, attend regularly and ask vendors if they know anyone that specializes in vintage hardware.

Surplus stores, bulk freight storage sales, garage sales, newspapers, Craigslist, older hardware stores, antique and outlet stores...really, just about anywhere. I live in an older house and take it from me, if you want to keep a vintage style, you're going to go through a lot of work to find just what you want. It's trial and error. Good luck!

I added vintage hardware to my cabinets in one of my bathrooms. You also can find a good selection on ebay or check with thrift, Good Will stores as well.

One of the best source is the internet that provides you with all options and preferences of vendors. Other options might be giving preference to those vendors in your locality.
