LDS scripture is to establish the basic facts of the scripture. Church-produced lesson manuals suggest many questions that you can use in lessons

If you are just learning the LDS religion then you should probably start with how the Book of Mormon was found and translated, that will bring you to the Pearl of Great Price, which is story of Joseph Smith and the other founderers.
