There is a very simple lab in which you can extract DNA from a strawberry or an onion and you can visbibally see your results.

Well there are the stereotypical ones for biology like dissecting a frog or fetal pig. In physics, you can have the kids make their own bridges out of toothpicks and see how much weight it holds. You can also do chromatography with pen ink.
