Hair stylists can always use a cute apron/smock because typically they wear one all day long and the standard color is plain black. Hair stylists also typically write down their client information so a cute appointment book would be a great idea. In addition, a business card holder for their station is also a good gift.

Conair pro hair dryers are nice. They have all the attachments a hair stylist would need for the different types of hair our there to properly dry and not damage the hair. A good set of shears or clippers would be good as well.
