Pin the Tail on the Donkey was always a hit at kids parties. Musical chairs is an easy one to play. Also, a pinata is a good idea. You can make it more or less challenging depending on the age of the child.

'Musical chairs' is easy to set up and good fun for kids at that age. 'Pass the parcel' is similar but needs more preparation. There is 'doctor-doctor', in which the all but one of the kids start off holding hands in a circle and then work themselves into big tangle. The doctor then has to slowly untangle them.
