Question by  Dhinakaran (22)

What are some good games for childrens parties?

I need to entertain five to eight year olds at a birthday party.

The old but effective games are stil the best choices. Pinatas are always fun. Games that invovles all of the children at once is the best choice.

Pin the Tail on the Donkey was always a hit at kids parties. Musical chairs is an easy one to play. Also, a pinata is a good idea. You can make it more or less challenging depending on the age of the child.

'Musical chairs' is easy to set up and good fun for kids at that age. 'Pass the parcel' is similar but needs more preparation. There is 'doctor-doctor', in which the all but one of the kids start off holding hands in a circle and then work themselves into big tangle. The doctor then has to slowly untangle them.

There's pin the tail on the donkey, or you can get a pinata. You can also organize a scavenger hunt for teams of kids.

Pin the tail on the donkey is always a classic. Children-friendly trivia is a good choice when a correct answer is rewarded with some goodies. Duck duck goose is appropriate of there is enough space for the children to run around. Some easter egg hunt type of game is also good if the space provides.
