A plain white color or a light color which flows from the kitchen to the hall giving it a flow through feeling and making the room to the hall feel spacious. One color is better as it combines two rooms.

In a home that flows, it's best to keep the design simple. By simple, I mean we want to keep the color scheme pretty stable through out the home. Choose a palette, such as earth tones, and stick with varying shades through the house.

A good color scheme for your kitchen would be sky blue and yellow. The yellow would say bright and sunny, relating to the kitchen, And the sky blue color would enhance the transition into the more darker rooms of the house. I. E the hallways.

Goo dcolor schemes would be a warm pale yellow in the kitchen which turns into a warm taniish yellowish color in the hallways. If you have more than one hallway you could use two colors for the halls.

This is what i do. I go to the paint store and pick out the color from the swatches which usually about 5 colors on them. Then I paint the wall one color and carry the other hues throughout the other rooms.
