What are some good can insulators?

When I send my daughter to school with a Coke in her lunch, it always gets warm.

My mother wrapped my beverages in tin foil and it worked well and kept the soda's from leaking all over. You could put ice into a plastic storage bag with zipper and place the soda inside. It should stay cold as long as it is not near a heating source.

Wrapping it in a very chilled cloth can help. As will Styrofoam. Look for materials that hold a lot of air, such as porous materials. And then be sure to chill them first, before surrounding the can with them.
