The origin of this plant is Brazil. Each stem can grow to approximately 1' tall and the are usually less than 1" in diameter. It's a clone of the Cereus Hildmannianus. Its a great cactus low maintance and very little water great for when you go on vacation a lot.
A succulent plant, which resembles a cactus, also called xhooba or xshoba, needs desert-like temperatures to thrive and can take up to five years to reach maturity grows wild throughout the Kalahari desert, protected by South African government. One variety is Hoodia Gordonii believed to contain an appetite suppressant.
Cactus come from dry locations. You may need to water only once a month, do not water unless the soil is really dry. Many cacti are able to go 2-3 mo. with out water at all, just keep this tip in mind before you water again.
Fairy Castle Cactus is a small, slow-growing cactus native to Brazil. It needs full sun to light shade in well-draining soil. Water them well, but allow them to dry out completely between waterings. They respond well to mild fertilizers. I wouldn't let the temperature fall below 65 degrees.
