Leaf scorch is an insect-borne disease that can kill oleander. If you notice wart-like growths the plant may have bacterial gall. Root rot and insect damage are environmental problems, but they can present symptoms that seem like a disease.

Most dis-ease of the oleander comes from fungus or bacteria. Nerium Canker is caused by a bacteria that causes lesions on all plant parts. A fungus, called Gloeosporium causes the plant to die. Another disese is Xyella fastidiosa which causes leaf scorch. All are untreatable and need to be replaced.

There are a ton of them and they all have different symptoms so you need to check with your local nursery to get the exact one diagnosed then go from there with the best course of treatment.

In texas, the Oleander bush is being over taken by a bacterial disease that is spread by the Glassy-wing Sharpshooter called the Oleander Leaf Scorch. At this time, there is no cure.
