What are some crafts for a 6 year old girl.

My daughter loves art and making things. I want some fun ideas for things to do on a rainy day or in the winter when she doesn't want to be outside very much.

Michaels Craft Stores has a new line of American Girl Crafts geared towards kids her age. For Christmas you could do Christmas Ornaments with her. You can buy the ceramic kind and paint them with Acrylic paints. Decorating cookies is fun too. Check out Family Fun Magazine. It's geared towards Families and crafts for them to do together with kids.

Pictures made using beans, noodles and rice are a lot of fun. Or, decorate simple frames with buttons and bows and super tacky craft glue, or stickers!

Get some beads in different sizes and colors and designs. Make bracelets and necklaces. Also, kids like to do anything with paint, markers, colored pencils, play dough, etc. Something that is out of their normal materials. Or just get different colored paper and cut out shapes and glue together on another piece of paper.
