First, remember that not everyone is Christian. Then consider that this person takes his/her beliefs every bit as seriously as you take yours. Don't be condescending or patronizing towards those beliefs. Be open to new ideas, and try to avoid thinking in terms of "But my God is the REAL God". You might end up being wrong.

Are we dating casually with no view to the future or seriously with a view toward marriage? How important is religion to each?

In India, the couple has to take a promise that they will bring up their children in Catholic faith. Hence, this issue should be discussed while you are dating

The main considerations are that Buddhists believe a cycle. If you live an evil life in this one, you get a bad life in the next. Buddhist don't believe in killing animals because all life is to be respected. If cycle through and learn your lessons you recieve nirvana.

1. Personal god versus impersonal god, and irreconcilable religious differences - unless one of you will convert in the long term. 2. Buddhists can celebrate many Christian holidays; the converse is not true.
