Mexicans usually greet each other with a hug and kiss on the cheek. Those who are Roman Catholic will make the sign of the cross when passing a church. Never give a gift of marigolds, as they are the flowers of the dead. Tamales and atole are served during Christmas.

In the Mexican culture, people will often celebrate a fifteen-year-old girl's birthday with a quinceanera. The girl will wear a large white dress and there will be a party. In Mexico, they also celebrate Dia de los Muertos, a day honoring dead ancestors on which they visit grave sites and offer presents to their dead relatives.
