There are several entries in the Bible that address the issue of taking one's own life. They include: 1 Corinthians 10:31, Genesis 1:26,27 and Romans 8:28. There are a lot of passages that can be interpreted indirectly as addressing the issue as well.

There are no Bible verses that specifically deal with suicide. However, one of the Ten Commandments says, "Thou shall not murder. " This can be found in Exodus, chapter 20, verse 13. Though it does not say, "thou shall not murder yourself", the verse says that one should not murder. This includes murdering yourself.

While there are many passages offering solace for personal tragedies, there is nothing in the Bible that directly deals with suicide.
