Besides the obvious accounting, chartered accounting and all positions dealing with tax returns, there are great opportunities in upper management, such as director of finance or director operations. Most upper management positions in the UK are filled by accountants. Also positions in journalism or editing for specialized magazines and journals. Teaching remains also a possibility.
