Answer by  Meromorphic (36)

The SI prefix micro, typically symbolized by the Greek letter mu, means 1/1000000 (or, in scientific notation, 10^-6). Thus, there are one million micrograms in a gram and there are one thousand micrograms in one milligram. In the other direction, there are one thousand nanograms in one microgram and one million picograms.
