Celery, bananas, "lite" salt (contains potassium chloride), brussels sprouts, dried fruits such as dates, figs, raisins, and prunes are rich in potassium. Also tomatoes, vegetable juices, potatoes and sweet potatoes, and yams, dandelion leaf, and spinach. Herbs: cilantro leaf, parsley, basil, chervil, chickweed, and chicory (used as a coffee substitute.

Although bananas are high in potassium, there are other foods that have even more. lima beans, prunes, raisins, spinach, winter squash and canned tomatoes have significantly more potassium than bananas.

Bananas have always been known for their high potassium levels. Fruits and fruit juices such as oranges, pears, nectarines, cantaloupe, figs, and avocados are also rich in potassium.
