What are conical flasks used for?

Conical flasks are mainly used for physical lab chemistry testing also known as Erlenmeyer flasks. They are used for measuring (using the graduated markings on the side of the glass), for titration, pH, to heat liquids in and also for microbiology uses.

They are used to heat liquids using equipments such as a Bunsen burner. It is heat resistant, as the flash is placed directly above the fire.
