Crystal blokage must be one of the cause of urinary tract infection in the cats. Hence these cats tract must be diluted with lots of fluid which can prevent urinary tract infection. You need to take your cat to a pet clinic and buy antibiotics for cats.

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) in cats can be caused by bacteria like Escherichia coli, collection of crystals forming stones thus blocking urinary tract or contaminated pet foods. Tumors in urinary bladder might also increase the possibility of UTI. Even poor or unhealthy food practices could be a cause. UTI can be treated with the help of antibiotics or herbal curatives.

It could be the kind of cat food you are feeding him or her or if he or she goes out with other cats this could be the problem.
