Bathtub inserts are inserts, usually PVC, acrylic or plastic, which fit over your bathtub. They are used to renovate your existing bathtub instead of replacing it. You put them over the existing surface to cover chips, gouges or scratches. They can also be used to provide alterations for easier access or therapeutic bathing.

A bathtub insert goes inside of your tub if you are refinishing your bathroom, but don't want to spring for a new tub.
