I know some people arrange for a friend to call their cellphones at a certain time to give them an "out" if things aren't going well. You should also give some people the benefit of the doubt, because they're just as nervous as you are.

If you are going on a blind date, the most important thing that you should consider is your own safety. You should arrange to meet in a public location, such as a restaurant or bar. You should also make sure that you tell someone where you are going, the name of your date and when you expect to be home.

I think the success of a blind date resides in not expecting anything. Instead of asking yourself if the other person is going to be cute or smart or funny, it would be better to ask yourself how much are you willing to offer to your blind date. Always be happy of meeting a new human being and show it.

Make sure you know as much as you can about the person so you have something to talk about during the date. Also let your friends know so you have a back up plan in case the date doesn't work out or if you need a quick escape.
