I would say that given all the current progress in robotics, it is highly likely that we will be able to. In fact, Japan already has lifelike prototypes. Thanks!

Physically, yes. The technology to create humanoid type robots that mimic human motion are already fairly advanced, and with increasing knowledge of the biomechanics of motion, human gait can be surely replicated. In addition, materials technology can give the robots an outside appearance of a human (silicone, etc).

Homo Sapiens are the only creatures on earth that exhibit an extensive array of emotions. Japan has been inventing more human-looking robots each year, but they only mimic human activities. A machine, no matter how human it may look, will never be comparable to a human.

Absolutely. there are already numerous robots available and in use for commercial purposes. Presently, technology is working on interfacing communications with robotic capabilities -- we will be able to phone or text our robots and have them turn our appliances off or on, etc.
