Jesus was considered to be a teacher, and this is exactly what the word rabbi actually means. He, however, was not ordained as it is customary for the rabbis today.

No, Jesus Christ was a carpenter by trade. He was never a rabbi and was never particularly close to becoming a rabbi. Instead, he grew up and then started spreading his message to others independently of any church. His audiences got larger and larger, and soon he was speaking to more people than any rabbi ever did.
