Was Jesus a pacifist?

This is debatable. While he taught charity and forgiveness, he did make an emphasis on a balance with justice, though that justice was often to be left to the government.

I would say that Jesus wasn't so much a pacifist as he just wanted peace. Everything he did, he did it to help someone else. He was known for performing miracles. Certain religions say that he was crucified on the cross since he died for the sins of those who live today.

He taught- love your enemies, resist not evil, do not return evil for evil, turn the other cheek, etc. Does that sound like pacifist?
