Should my husband have to support his kids from a previous marriage?

My husband pays so much in child support that we suffer.

Though his marriage ended, his responsibilities as a father did not. The welfare of the children is, in my mind, the priority regardless of hard feelings or animosity between the parents. I'm sorry you don't feel that way about supporting innocent kids who had no say in this.

Of course he should support his children. Think of it this way; if you and your husband were to split up eventually, wouldn't you want him to pay support for any kids you had together? You can try to appeal the amount if it really is crippling you, but that is a consequence of kids and divorce.
