Should I worry that I have wild rabbits in my yard?

Wild rabbits will not bite unless they are chased and cornered. Even then, they are more likely to kick or try to hide than bite. Rabbits are not dangerous and rarely spread disease to humans or other species of animals. Wild rabbits pose more of a threat to your plants and garden than to people.

No. You are lucky to see them. If they are aware of your presence they will move quickly to get to cover. They are more afraid of you. There is no need to take out the shot gun unless you're hunting for dinner. They pose no threat.
