Should I use leaded or unleaded gas in my 1970 Roadrunner?

Do you have "soft seats"? If so, using unleaded gasoline exclusively might burn them out. Some people replace the valve seats with a new hardened version. Or you can use Lead Substitute Additives. Either way, always purchase the highest octane gas at the pump.

You should definitely use unleaded gas. Leaded gas was originally designed to prevent "engine knock" but in today's world is unnecessary. Use unleaded gas.

Well your only option for fuel is to run unleaded gas. Leaded fuel was phased out in the 90's by the clean air act. Being a 1970 you should have no problem running unleaded. You make sure to use high enough octane and make sure it runs fine otherwise you might have to swap in new valve seats.

It's made to run on leaded. However, since leaded is no longer an option, you will have to get a lead additive from an auto parts store.
