You should replace the car. The transmission will probably cost you in excess of two thousand dollars, and let's face it, Caravan's just aren't cool. Go get yourself a nice Challenger.
I should replace the transmission if is the only problem because in general a transmission will cost less than replacing a whole car and if you get a used car you will just have more problems.
