Should I include my high school diploma on my resume?

I graduated in 1976.

As weird as it is, YES. It may have been awhile ago, but employers will still want to know if you finished school or not.

If you have a college degree, then your diploma is unnecessary, but if you do not have one, then you should mention your graduation.

You should include your high school diploma if it is your last educational certification. If you attended college, whether or not you graduated with a degree, then it is not necessary to list the high school diploma.

No employers are only interested in the year you graduated. They are only interested in if you completed school. If you send the high school diploma they will probably throw it out if you are not hired. If you are hired it will become a part of your employee file.
